Think of it like a down payment (commonly called a “Cap. cost reduction” in traditional leases), which is one of the factors that helps lower the cost of your monthly payment. Choose the combination of start fee and monthly payment that is right for you; it’s all customizable.

Autonomy is the freedom to choose what’s best for you. That’s literally why we started this company. If you decide you’re no longer interested in a Tesla Model Y before you activate your subscription, we’ll refund your entire security deposit, no questions asked. Simply give us a call at 1-800-AUTONOMY (800-288-6666) to cancel your reservation. Once issued, the refund will typically take five to seven business days to process.

If you meet our eligibility requirements, your subscription will include insurance that is underwritten by a third party, and it will be billed together with your monthly subscription fee. Your Tesla EV subscription includes routine maintenance performed by authorized Autonomy service providers, like tire rotations, cabin air filter replacements, and component checkups.

As an electric vehicle, the Tesla Model Y doesn’t require traditional oil changes, emission checks, fuel filters, or spark plug replacements. And thanks to regenerative braking that returns energy to the battery, even brake pad replacements are uncommon.

Because Autonomy owns and registers the vehicles, they are classified as used cars. But most of our vehicles have not had previous owners and typically come with fewer than 500 miles. All our subscription vehicles are covered under warranty.

Making your monthly payments is easy with autopay. You’ll provide a credit card or a checking account during activation, and your payment will be automatically deducted each month on the same date that your subscription started. In some cases, subscribers will be asked to provide a backup payment method as well.
