Autonomy Education

Autonomy Training Courses for Customers and Partners

Autonomy Education is a well established training department that strives at all times to deliver the best possible learning experience. With a team of experienced trainers and subject matter experts from around the world, our department offers you well designed training courses that range from Infrastructure Technologies, Pan-Enterprise Search, eDiscovery, Content Management, Customer Interactions through to Business Process Management, Records Management and eCommerce.

Autonomy's training courses are aimed at a wide audience of people, including technical staff responsible for the installation, configuration and administration of the Autonomy technology as well as the end users that will actually use the solution from day to day. Our education programs are heavily oriented toward hands-on practical experience to reinforce formal classroom instruction. Using fast-track training methods, the majority of the training will take place in a work-shop environment following preset training courses that will challenge the trainee and aid them during the learning process.

Deploy Solutions that Achieve Your Exact Business Objectives

Autonomy Education courses give your Autonomy team members the knowledge they need to take full advantage of Autonomy's powerful intellectual capital management capabilities, and use them to meet your organization's exact business requirements. Our robust program is made up of specialized modules for business managers, developers, administrators and corporate librarians, and ensures that you have access to all the expertise you need to get the most out of your Autonomy investment. The earlier your team begins gaining that expertise, the more successful your intellectual capital management solution will be.

Lower your Total Cost of Ownership

After attending Autonomy Education courses, your team members will be able to apply best practices in the design, deployment, and administration of your Autonomy intellectual capital management solutions. This translates into decreased technical support costs, lower ongoing administrative overhead, and the ability to make better use of Autonomy Consulting services. Many of our students are also able to lower hardware costs with better-configured systems, decrease network load and increase the return on investment of integrated third-party applications.

Get More Out of Your Education Budget

Software "training" typically consists of memorizing responses to standard questions or how to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and precision in the lab. This may work well for some applications, but when your job is to solve business-critical issues, such as managing high-value intellectual capital, memorized skills can only take you so far. Autonomy delivers "education," in which you learn by solving realistic business problems with Autonomy technologies. This approach gives you the skills you need - and the know-how to apply them - to ensure your success in the real world.

Instructor-Led Training

At Autonomy we believe the most productive way to learn is to actively engage with the product. using a well-balanced combination of theoretical and practical exercises the Autonomy Instructor will take the students through a set of logically structured course modules allowing the participants to grasp all aspects of the technology. For technical audiences we typically ask participants to install all components from scratch allowing them to understand the "nuts and bolts" view of the product. A mix of detailed documentation and exercises are provided which provides step by step instructions on how to install, configure and maintain the software. For non technical audiences we preconfigure the classroom allowing the trainees to immediately interact with the software solution.

System Administrators are generally encouraged to attend the majority of the product training so that they not only know how to maintain the service but also understand all aspects of the solution. At Autonomy we aim to provide a holistic view of the product so that different departments may engage more productively. To ensure that adequate individual attention is provided to the students attending an instructor-led class, Autonomy Education maintains small classes ranging from 6 - 12 participants.

Onsite Training

Most classes offered by Autonomy Education can be delivered onsite, at your premises, and all classes can also be customized to your project specific requirements. Classes are designed for a maximum of 12 students per class and run a full 8 hours—typically from 9:00 to 5:00, although the hours can be adjusted to suit your requirements.

To ensure that an onsite training session runs smoothly, the host must provide adequate classroom facilities for the visiting trainer in order to conduct the course.

For onsite training enquiries and reservations please contact us via training@autonomy.com or training@interwoven.com.

eDiscovery Training

Autonomy provides world-leading eDiscovery solutions that automate the process of harvesting, preserving and identifying legally relevant data collections across all enterprise repositories, desktops and laptops. Autonomy's technology transparently collects and preserves all data formats, including voice, email, IM, applications and databases. Legal IT or Compliance departments can quickly initiate the "collection" process across the entire enterprise, which subsequently allows the organization to rapidly employ Preservation procedures, apply Legal Hold, carry out Early Case Assessment (ECA) initiatives through to full EDD processing and Data Disposition.

Autonomy's Education Department now offers a full range of eDRM training courses. These courses are intended for organizations that are carrying out eDiscovery initiatives. These modular courses are targeted at both IT Support staff within Compliance or Legal departments, and legal council who are responsible for demonstrating that relevant enterprise-wide data has been collected, preserved and prepared for pending litigation.

Select from the following eDiscovery training courses:

Archiving & Records Management Training

Policy Management & Legal Hold Training
