IDOL Federator

IDOL Federator is a highly configurable information consolidator that enables a client application to use a common protocol to perform search operations over heterogeneous search engines and other information sources. With Federator, a query can be submitted to obtain results that are dynamically merged, ranked for relevance in a single list, summarized, classified into your corporate taxonomy and even used to power the recommendation engine. Search criteria can be preprocessed and results can be post-processed in nearly any way imaginable. Some of these options are available out of the box, while others can be implemented as custom components.
