Autonomy Applet

Depending on the desired IDOL Server functionality, Autonomy PODS automatically install the relevant Applet directly into the Siebel front-end interface, providing new features and functionality to the end user through an additional Siebel Screen.

IDOL Server Functionality

At the heart of Siebel PODS lies Autonomy's sophisticated pattern-matching techniques to enable applications to understand information in context. For the first time Siebel applications can go beyond keywords and metadata to identify concepts within the text itself to determine which are the most important and to automate the processing of this content, regardless of its format, location, language, application it's been created with or stored in. Using Siebel Fetch, IDOL Server integrates at Siebel's data storage level, leveraging unstructured, semi-structured and structured information from multiple repositories through an understanding of the content, delivering a real time environment in which operations across applications and content are automated, removing all the manual processes involved in getting the right information, to the right people at the right time.

Through Autonomy's wide support of data repositories, Autonomy's additional selection of Connectors can make use of all information assets in the organization, returning results from the integrated Siebel application and other solutions simultaneously, whilst respecting all security settings.
