HP onthult eerste oplossing voor geintegreerde informatiebescherming voor bedrijven
HP Data Protector 7 verandert de manier waarop organisaties informatie beschermen en waarde uit informatie te halen
LAS VEGAS, June 4, 2012 - HP introduceert HP Data Protector 7. Deze software biedt geavanceerde back-up- en recovery-mogelijkheden die organisaties in staat stelt om de explosieve datagroei op ongekende schaal te beheren. Aangedreven door de Autonomy Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) biedt HP Data Protector 7 een geintegreerd platform voor alle opslagmiddelen door middel van federated deduplicatie.
Naast HP Data Protector 7 kondigt het bedrijf ook de opvolger aan van HP StoreOnce data deduplication, de enige federated deduplicatieoplossing in de markt. Met HP StoreOnce worden de gegevens via een technologie, eenmalig gededupliceerd en vervolgens verplaatst naar een willekeurige locatie, zonder dat deze gegevens ooit weer ingevoegd hoeven te worden of te worden aangevuld (1). De prestaties worden hierdoor drastisch verbeterd en de administratieve kosten voor multinational worden verminderd.
Beie oplossingen gebruiken toonaangevende technologie van HP Labs - de centrale onderzoekstak van HP - en Autonomy, onderdeel van HP, die bedrijven in staat stelt om overbodige data te elimineren en de belangrijkste content voor het bedrijf te identificeren en te beschermen.
HP Data Protector 7 begrijpt automatisch de context van ongestructureerde, menselijke informatie zoals social media, video, afbeeldingen, audio en e-mail om deze te identificeren en de wijze waarop informatie wordt beschermd te prioriteren. Traditionele benaderingen voor gegevensbescherming zijn niet in staat om de ideeen en concepten te begrijpen die tot uiting komen in de groeiende volumes van ebig dataf. Wanneer informatie wordt geindexeerd door Autonomy IDOL kunnen de gegevens daarentegen automatisch worden benaderd en toegepast binnen een breed scala van cloud-gebaseerde oplossingen, waaronder archivering, eDiscovery, information governance en inkomstenoptimalisatie.

HP Data Protector 7 stelt klanten in staat om:
Kennis te maken met legal discovery en compliance-behoeften door krachtige governance-instrumenten te gebruiken, met inbegrip van eDiscovery en legal hold. Hiermee kan back-updata worden doorzocht op basis van de context. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om gegevens te vinden en te herstellen gebaseerd op betekenis.
Zero-downtime bij het herstel van informatie te bereiken, zoals noodzakelijk is in mission-critical omgevingen, door uitgebreide geintegreerde ondersteuning voor toonaangevende bedrijfsapplicaties te bieden. Verder wordt ook granulaire recovery van SharePoint, VMware en Microsoft R Exchange-gegevens geboden.
HP StoreOnce B6200 te integreren en zo bedrijfsbrede informatiebeveiliging te implementeren. Met deze integratie wordt een uitbreiding geboden tot geavanceerde federated deduplicatie van de kern van een datacenter tot de randapparatuur.
Informatiebescherming uit te breiden naar een cloud-gebaseerde externe opslag met geintegreerde toegang tot de zeer veilige private cloud van Autonomy. Deze cloud is es werelds grootste storage-as-a-service aanbod met meer dan 50 petabyte, en is gebouwd op de HP Converged Cloud.
Beschikbaarheid
HP Data Protector 7 is per direct wereldwijd beschikbaar via HP en haar ecosysteem van partners. De Cloud-gebaseerde back-upoptie wordt afzonderlijk aangeboden via een maandelijks abonnement.
