AUTONOMY'S SUSHOVAN HUSSAIN WINS CFO OF THE YEAR AWARD

Named FTSE 100 Financial Director of the Year 2010 and Finance Directors' FD of the Year 2010

Cambridge, UK and SAN FRANCISCO - May 13, 2010 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Sushovan Hussain, has received two highly coveted FDs' Excellence Awards, 'FTSE 100 FD of the Year' and 'FDs' FD of the Year', at a ceremony held at the Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square last night. The prestigious FDs' Excellence Awards, which are this year being held in conjunction with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and supported by the UK's Confederation of British Industry, recognize exemplary performance by finance directors from companies in the UK's FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and other indices. Mr. Hussain was selected after a rigorous selection process conducted by a panel of judges including other FDs.

Sushovan Hussain has played a crucial role in Autonomy's exceptional growth trajectory. Over the last five years, Autonomy has generated an adjusted EPS CAGR of 73%, grown to become one of the three largest software companies in Europe and the best performer on the FTSE 100. During that time, Autonomy has made three strategic acquisitions totaling some $1.8 billion culminating in the announcement of the acquisition of Interwoven for $775m in January 2009.
