GREATER CINCINNATI BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES STANDARDIZES ON AUTONOMY'S MEANING-BASED TECHNOLOGIES

Autonomy's Records Management, Data Capture and Business Process Management Solutions to Help the Health Institution Achieve Cost Savings and Improve Operational Efficiency

Cambridge, UK and SAN FRANCISCO - June 16, 2009 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that the Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCB) has selected its information processing solutions to securely capture, route, store and manage its patients records. With Autonomy, GCB's more than 300 clinicians will be able to view all of their patients' records online, rather than having to make a physical trip to the records department. The health institution expects that this will translate into significant savings of $1.5 million each year, while increasing its employees' productivity.

With increasing HIPAA government regulations, healthcare institutions today face critical compliance imperatives related to how information is transmitted and stored. With Autonomy's automated information processing solutions, GCB will be able to accurately convert all of its paper-based client records into electronic records, as well as automatically route all of its medical records to Autonomy's records management solution.

"GCB recognized the need for an effective records management solution to help manage the increasing volume of our patients records, and ensure that we are HIPAA-compliant," said Tony Dattilo, CEO of GCB. "The Autonomy solution was the only solution that met our archiving and retention requirements, while providing tight integration with our existing IT infrastructure. GCB's staff can now be more productive because electronic records are available whenever and wherever a network connection is available. We estimate that the Autonomy solution will provide us with a return-on-investment of approximately $1.5 million per year."

"The healthcare industry continues to improve its policies and processes to protect client privacy. It is critical for healthcare providers to efficiently manage patient information, while remaining compliant with changing government regulations," said Sean Sullivan, CEO of Autonomy Cardiff. "Accurate and efficient information management practices provide the best possible care to clients by making information readily available to clinicians, so they can prescribe the most appropriate treatment plans. We are delighted that GCB has chosen Autonomy to improve its information processing capabilities."
