MEDIABIN NOW JOINS AUTONOMY VIRAGE FAMILY OF PRODUCTS TO DELIVER COMPLETE RICH MEDIA MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS SUITE

Automated Encoding, Indexing and Retrieval of Audio and Video Files Stored within MediaBin Enables Marketers to Understand the Meaning of Unstructured Content

The NAB SHOW™, LAS VEGAS - April 20, 2009 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that its Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution, Virage MediaBin (previously known as Interwoven MediaBin), has been incorporated into the Virage family of products that focus on Enterprise Rich Media Management. Virage MediaBin is now integrated with Autonomy's leading video and audio analytics capabilities and the Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL). This marks the fourth major integration of the Autonomy and Interwoven products, including the integration of IDOL into Interwoven TeamSite and iManage Universal Search, as well as iManage WorkSite solutions. Autonomy announced the completion of its acquisition of Interwoven on March 17, 2009.

Organizations are confronted with a flood of rich media content - generated within and outside a business - that is becoming increasingly important to manage. Marketers now demand a solution that can manage, re-use and collaborate with these critical business assets - including videos, audio content, podcasts, user generated content, online advertising and other new media.

With this latest announcement, Autonomy Virage's powerful video and speech analytics technology enables the automated encoding, indexing and retrieval of audio and video files managed within Virage MediaBin, the industry's leading DAM solution. Users of Virage MediaBin are now able to take advantage of Autonomy's IDOL Meaning Based Computing technology to quickly and easily search the full transcript of any audio or video via an intuitive web interface. Additionally, the combined solution can dynamically build relationships between the content and context of rich media assets managed within MediaBin. This enables Virage MediaBin customers to rapidly find the most relevant video or audio clip based on the meaning of its content, rather than being forced to rely on pre-defined arbitrary manually generated metadata. For example, a marketer can immediately identify the specific locations for a particular product promotion within a video or audio clip, eliminating the need for manual transcription and tagging.

In addition, Autonomy's Meaning Based Computing technology allows Virage MediaBin customers to retrieve conceptually related rich media content from within the organization as well as from external Web sites - all with a single click of a mouse. These dynamically generated links to related content sources empowers users to not only find the right digital assets, but also find any related content to leverage for their marketing and research projects within a centralized user interface.

"Virage MediaBin is a critical addition to our product offering, as it is used by top global brands around the world. It allows us to offer an end-to-end solution and expand our footprint within corporations," said Marc Geall, CEO of Autonomy Virage. "The integration of IDOL and audio and video analysis technologies with Virage MediaBin provides the industry's most complete and capable DAM solution for all of our customers' rich media assets. Autonomy is committed to delivering the most innovative and disruptive technologies to allow organizations to gain full control over the monetization and value of their digital assets."

Autonomy will be showcasing the new meaning-based Virage MediaBin solution at the NAB show in Las Vegas (booth number: SU9917) from April 20 to 23, 2009. Please visit www.autonomy.com/virage to learn more.
