AUTONOMY COMPLETES INTEGRATION OF IDOL INTO INTERWOVEN TEAMSITE

The Web Content Management Market Enters a New Meaning Based Era

Cambridge, UK and SAN FRANCISCO - March 19, 2009 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that Autonomy's core infrastructure software, the Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), is now the underlying technology for TeamSite, Autonomy Interwoven's market-leading web content management product. The integration of IDOL with TeamSite is an important step in providing marketers with new tools that can help them understand the meaning behind - and immediately take action on - all forms of information. Autonomy announced the completion of its acquisition of Interwoven on March 17, 2009.

"We believe that the Autonomy-Interwoven combination will move the market further along the path toward platforms that integrate information management and access," said Susan Feldman, Research Vice President, Search and Discovery Technologies at IDC. "We saw this with Autonomy and ZANTAZ with regard to eDiscovery and anticipate the same trend here."

The IDOL-based TeamSite will now enable a host of additional IDOL functionality within Autonomy Interwoven's Web Solutions. Customers will benefit from a combination of legacy keyword and advanced conceptual technologies and an order of magnitude increase in performance and scalability over the previous release of TeamSite.

"The convergence of enterprise search and web content management technologies presents an exciting market opportunity," said Derek Anthony, General Manager of Enterprise Content Management at Perficient, a leading interactive marketing consulting firm. "Having worked with both organizations we have been at the forefront of bringing these technologies together for clients - and now to have them addressed by a single vendor is a powerful combination. Clients want a robust, end-to-end solution which helps them create, optimize and deliver targeted results to their customers - driven by analytics, intelligence and insight - and Interwoven and Autonomy are now poised to fulfill that promise."

"The web solutions market is strategically important to Autonomy and we plan to make some of our most significant investments in this area to accelerate the delivery of innovative and disruptive solutions," said Anthony Bettencourt, CEO of Autonomy Interwoven. "By injecting IDOL into Autonomy Interwoven's market-leading Web Solutions, we will create innovations that enable marketers to derive meaning from all forms of digital information - both structured and unstructured, text audio and video - on a single platform. This unique platform can automate many currently manual aspects of operating web content management and marketing optimization, as well as allow full conceptual customer profiling combining all modes of customer interaction, from email, phone, messaging and websites."

TeamSite 6.7.2 is available now. The product is available at no additional cost to current maintenance customers. This version is pin-for-pin compatible, and delivers a transparent user experience. Please visit www.autonomy.com/interwoven to find out more.

A series of new modules leveraging additional capabilities IDOL brings to TeamSite will be released over the coming months.
