AUTONOMY'S MEANING-BASED COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATED IN ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4

Enables Real-Time Analysis of Video and Audio Within Adobe's Post-Production Solution

Cambridge, UK and San Francisco, Calif. - September 24, 2008 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that Adobe Systems Incorporated has integrated its Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) platform and rich media management functionality into the newly-launched Adobe® Creative Suite® 4 Production Premium. Autonomy's powerful speech analytics technology enables the automated encoding, indexing and retrieval of audio files created by users of the Adobe suite, taking advantage of Autonomy's unique ability to rapidly find the most relevant audio clips based upon the meaning of its content.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium software is a complete and tightly integrated pre- and post production toolset. It is used for video and audio editing, still and motion graphics, visual effects, and interactive media design, then delivery for film, broadcast, and DVD as well as Blu-ray disc and mobile authoring.

With Autonomy's speech analytics technology, users of Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium are able to quickly and easily search the full transcript of any audio stream or speaker information in seven languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Korean. The Autonomy technology also enables the use of new Speech Search in Adobe Premiere® Pro CS4 and Adobe Soundbooth® CS4 to index spoken dialog directly into IDOL platform, making it easy to rapidly find particular audio clips, identify speakers, as well as align multiple takes of content around a script, and conceptually identify similar audio content.

"One of the challenges facing our customers in modern post-production is to find the right part of the right clip quickly and efficiently since today's tapeless workflows can easily have 1,000s of large files," said Simon Hayhurst, senior director of product management for Dynamic Media at Adobe. "The new Creative Suite 4 Production Premium provides a powerful toolset that offers a faster editing workflow through SpeechSearch and that results in a video that is searchable on the web, giving our customers a competitive edge. We look forward to extending the use of Autonomy's video analytics capabilities in future product releases."

"We are proud to help Adobe provide a state-of-the-art rich media management solution to its customers from around the world," said Mike Lynch, CEO of Autonomy. "We believe that our Meaning-based Computing technologies give Adobe a suite of next-generation media management capabilities that can be rapidly deployed to meet its customers' requirements as they evolve in the future."
