THE UNITED KINGDOM'S CABINET OFFICE STANDARDISES ON AUTONOMY MERIDIO'S RECORDS MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

Meridio Solution Helps the UK Government Administration to Retain and Leverage Institutional Knowledge

Cambridge, UK and Belfast, NI. - April 8, 2008 - Meridio, an Autonomy company (LSE: AU. or AU.L) and the leading provider of Records Management software, today announced that the United Kingdom's Cabinet Office has deployed its records management solution to manage and control hundreds of thousands of electronic documents and records across the government organization.

The UK Cabinet Office sits at the very centre of government and, together with the Treasury, provides the ‘head office' of government. The Cabinet Office performs three core functions that enable it to fulfill its overarching purpose of making the government work better for the UK citizens, which include: supporting the Prime Minister to define and deliver the Government's objectives, supporting the Cabinet to drive the coherence, quality and delivery of policy and operations across departments and strengthening the Civil Service to ensure the civil service is organised effectively and has the capability in terms of skills, values and leadership to deliver the Government's objectives.

The Cabinet Office sets an example in the delivery of policy, process and implementation. At the same time, it often experiences a high degree of change due to both high staff turnover, which can reach 30 percent a year, and other government organizational changes. With Meridio's highly flexible and scalable records management solution, the Cabinet Office is able to retain its organizational memory, achieve superior control over document and records, and improve collaboration productivity throughout the organization. The centralized system, which is accessible from users' desktops, makes sharing documents easy and is a major contributor to improved collaborative working across the organization. Processes which rely on information sharing such as meeting minutes, report approval, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and staff recruitment can now be processed much more efficiently and require less manual labor.

"The UK Cabinet Office's use of Meridio's records management solution is helping us to meet our business objectives through improved collaborative working," said Celia Wood, deputy director of eDRM, Cabinet Office. "Its simple interface, transparently integrated with our Microsoft Office Systems, has meant that staff across the organization are seeing early benefits from the control and sharing of documents and protection of our Organizational Memory."

"There is a growing need for all government organizations to improve efficiency and at the same time tightly control the increasing volume of email and other electronic documents," said Brian Baird, CEO of Autonomy Meridio. "Meridio's records management solution is becoming the de facto standard for agencies that need to demonstrate corporate governance while realizing cost savings and improvements in service delivery."
