Interwoven Recognized by Independent Research Firm as a Strong Performer in Marketing Asset Management

SAN JOSE Calif., - February 4, 2008 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions, today announced Interwoven has been named a "strong performer" in the January 2008 report, titled "The Forrester Wave: Marketing Asset Management (MAM), Q1 2008."

Forrester evaluated five MAM vendors, and rated providers on 72 criteria across their current product offering, strategy, and overall market presence. Forrester cited Interwoven's vision for creating a closed loop marketing optimization cycle; "Interwoven's recent acquisition of Optimost, a Website optimization company, offers a tantalizing glimpse of how different parts of the marketing content supply chain can integrate."

Increasingly, marketing has become vital as companies struggle to differentiate and breakthrough a fragmented marketplace. A company's success often hinges on agility and consistency in communicating their brand promise or pledge to consumers across varying channels, as well as the ability to provide sales personnel, channel partners, and other constituents with up-to-date brand assets and marketing collateral.

"Brands that drive the global economy rely on Interwoven to efficiently and effectively maximize the value of their marketing assets," said Ben Kiker, chief marketing officer at Interwoven. "Our approach to unified management of valuable marketing assets helps customers eliminate high costs, slow time to market and inconsistent branding while effective reuse increases marketing resource efficiency. Interwoven is focused on providing innovative solutions for our customers to optimize their marketing investments."

Interwoven's Marketing Asset Management Solution Consists of:

Interwoven MediaBin is the leading Digital Asset Management (DAM) product chosen by marketing organizations to manage the thousands of digital assets and marketing content used to promote their products and brands. With MediaBin, extended marketing teams can easily catalog, manage, transform, and distribute digital assets; including photographs, logos, CAD and 3D images, audio, video, datasheets, advertisements, presentations, and documents.

Interwoven TeamSite enables businesses to manage content across all internally and externally facing Web-based business applications such as enterprise portals, intranets, self-service applications, public-facing Web sites, and extranets. TeamSite provides content authoring, workflow, archiving, and an intuitive user interface that enables organizations to reduce the cost, time, and risk associated with delivering content to the Web and supporting all online initiatives.

Interwoven Optimost helps companies with one of their biggest challenges- creating a compelling, engaging, and relevant online experience that delivers measurable business results. The solution optimizes virtually every online marketing element including landing pages, registration pages, shopping carts, credit card pages, banner ads, email creatives, and Web applications as well as every content type within them, including headlines, copy, forms, images, and rich media. By exposing different combinations of content to different visitors and then measuring visitors' actions, Interwoven Optimost can identify the most compelling combination of content and layout. Businesses can then offer the most effective presentation to visitors.

Interwoven MetaTagger is a content profiling product which helps organizations automate the categorization and tagging of documents with metadata to streamline key business processes such as content filing and routing, targeted Web content delivery for key customer segments, and search optimization.
