EUROPEAN COMMISSIONER RECOGNISES AUTONOMY AS THE BEST PERFORMING SOFTWARE COMPANY IN EUROPE

Truffle Capital Acknowledges Autonomy's Outstanding Revenue Growth of 161 Percent From 2005 to 2006

Cambridge, UK and San Francisco, Calif. - Nov. 19, 2007 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it has been recognised as the Best Performing Software Company in Europe within the Truffle 100, a ranking of the top 100 European software leaders. The Truffle 100 rankings, compiled by Truffle Capital from research conducted by IDC and CXP, acknowledged Autonomy as the best performing member of this group based on the company's outstanding financial growth and profitability from 2005 to 2006. Dr. Mike Lynch, Autonomy's founder and CEO, will attend the Pan-European IP Summit in Brussels today to accept the honour from Viviane Reading, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media.

"Autonomy's phenomenal success since its inception in 1996 is a clear example of a European company taking centre stage in today's global market," said Bernard-Louis Roques, general partner & co-founder, Truffle Capital. "With an impressive 31 consecutive quarters of profitability behind them and a market cap of over four billion, Autonomy only continues to build momentum, as evidenced by their clear position as the fastest growing company in the Truffle 100."

Founded in 2005, the Truffle 100 was developed to shed light on the leaders of the software industry and reveal new trends within the European market. The initiative is supported by a wide array of trade associations across Europe, spanning the UK, Germany, Belgium and France.

"The $20 billion dollar database market was spawned to manage structured information," said Lynch. "Today, 80% of enterprise information is unstructured. Autonomy alone is uniquely positioned to capitalise on this exciting market demand - helping global organizations intelligently manage all of their unstructured information - as demonstrated by the accelerated adoption and standardisation on our Meaning-based Computing technologies."
