HURON CONSULTING GROUP CHOOSES AUTONOMY TO ENHANCE DIGITAL EVIDENCE AND DISCOVERY SERVICES
Cambridge, UK and San Francisco, Calif. - November 6, 2007 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AUTN.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN) has chosen its Electronic Data Discovery (EDD) and Investigator solutions as one of the key software components of its electronic discovery service offerings. With Autonomy, Huron will be able to better address the complex challenges of its client base that arise in litigation, disputes, investigations, regulatory compliance, and other document-intensive legal matters.
"One of Huron's core strengths is in providing our client base with an integrated set of discovery services and related best practices using a comprehensive suite of tools for electronic discovery, from collection through production," said Bob Rowe, managing director, Huron Consulting Group. "Combining our business expertise with Autonomy's eDiscovery and Investigative technologies will enable us to provide business solutions to clients to reduce the potentially high costs and risks associated with electronic discovery and enterprise information management."
Huron provides services to both corporate law departments and law firms using best practice approaches and methodologies that help them to effectively address their needs relating to all of the discovery and information management components involved in investigations, complex litigation and second request reviews. The Autonomy solutions will be used by Huron to enable its clients to quickly and accurately manage data and perform real-time analysis on that data for litigation and investigation purposes. Autonomy offers technology that can automatically understand the content and inter-relationships of all enterprise information, independent of language and file format including email, instant messaging and rich media such as voice and video.
Huron selected Autonomy for its scalability and ability to create a single index of any corpus of information. In addition, the EDD and Investigator solutions also provide Huron with a single unified platform that can easily be integrated into its Digital Evidence and Discovery services. Autonomy's financial stability, extensive experience and successful track record of working with more than 17,000 customers worldwide were also key considerations for Huron.
"Addressing litigation and compliance issues together with some of the newer regulations have increased both the cost and the risk profile of corporations and drastically changed the way organizations must manage their electronic information," said Mike Lynch, CEO of Autonomy. "Huron's clients now have the most superior technology on the market to ensure that all relevant information is accurately accessible in a fast and cost effective manner."
