Meridio to be Acquired by Autonomy Corporation

Combination Delivers Industry's Most Comprehensive Archiving, eDiscovery and Certified Records Management Solutions Unified on One Single Platform

Belfast NI, October 26, 2007 – Meridio, the leading worldwide provider of enterprise Document and Records Management software, today announced that it is being acquired by Autonomy Corporation PLC, a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise. The combination of the two companies' solutions will deliver the industry's most comprehensive archiving, eDiscovery and certified records management solution – all unified on one single platform – Autonomy's Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL). Autonomy is widely recognized by industry analysts as the leader in high end information processing and management and one of the most successful software companies in the world.

The acquisition brings together two organizations with a rich history of delivering successful solutions that meet the growing business needs of their respective industries, and significant business value to customers through innovative and market-leading engineered solutions. The addition of Meridio's best-in-class enterprise Document and Records Management capabilities to the Autonomy Product Group enhances Autonomy's spectrum of solutions for proactive information risk management from data collection through to production. In addition, Meridio's enterprise Document and Records Management offering connects Autonomy solutions to content in other certified records management systems, elevating the management of unstructured information to a new level. The combination of technologies will also deliver governance solutions that will help an organization comply with regulations, manage the impact of litigation and improve business processes.

"Autonomy's persistent growth, financial stability and impressive commitment to research and development will bring immediate short and long term benefits to our customers," said Brian Baird, CEO of Meridio. 'We expect the seamless integration within the whole Autonomy product family to deliver solutions unrivalled in the marketplace."

Meridio has delivered solutions based on the Autonomy IDOL platform in customer engagements and is well on the way to integrating IDOL as the primary search interface to Meridio® eDRM. Meridio eDRM will be further developed and supported going forward as a critical component of the Autonomy Product Group.
