Interwoven Names James Murray Vice President, EMEA

GearUp 2007, London, UK - October 18, 2007 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions, today announced that it has named James Murray as vice president of Interwoven's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective today.

Murray joined the Interwoven EMEA sales team in 2000 and was appointed Vice President of Enterprise Sales for EMEA. In 2004 he was appointed as vice president of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Under his leadership, Interwoven expanded its business in APAC,signing high-profile regional customers, including adidas, Agricultural Bank of China, ICICI, National Australia Bank, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubushi, Telecom Malaysia and others.

Said Max Carnecchia, president at Interwoven, "James has done a tremendous job leading our growth in APAC, and we're pleased to have him returning to lead the EMEA team as we look to expand on our success in the region. With the GearUp London conference this week, we are highlighting the unique business challenges and opportunities facing our EMEA customers, and how content is the key to unlock growth and profits. With James' leadership, I am confident that Interwoven will continue to deliver on our pledge to help our EMEA customers grow their operations, increase the value of their brands, and accelerate the speed of their businesses."

Prior to joining Interwoven, Murray was a sales executive for JDA, where he had European and North American responsibilities. Prior to that, he held positions at Comshare, and spent five years in Accenture's financial services division. James holds an honours degree in business from the University of Aston, Birmingham.

The announcement was made this morning at Interwoven GearUp 2007, in London. This year's conference, themed GearUp for Growth, is being held at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel, October 16-18, 2007, and, like GearUp 2007 in San Francisco, it will focus on game-changing strategies for turning content into a powerful asset for improving customer relationships and driving top-line revenue growth.
