Kainos and Meridio Renew Partnership as Opportunities for Information Management Solutions Grow

Successful track record with six new customer wins in six months

Belfast NI, October 9, 2007 – Meridio, the leading worldwide provider of enterprise Document and Records Management (eDRM) software engineered for Microsoft® .NET based technologies and Kainos, a leading IT consulting company today announced that they have extended the terms of their partnership to jointly market and sell eDRM solutions into the UK marketplace. The decision follows strong performance in the Information Management market where the companies have closed contracts with six new customers in the past six months.

In 1993 Kainos developed the Microsoft-based Meridio product and in 2001 spun the division off as a separate company. Kainos and Meridio have since worked in partnership on many eDRM projects both across the public and private sectors. Kainos helps organizations plan, manage and implement their eDRM solutions, while Meridio provides the supporting technology. Together the companies provide end-to-end eDRM solutions that drive huge efficiencies in the creation, management and publishing of enterprise-wide information. The companies are now ready to build on their successful track record and the renewed partnership will bring further focus to their sales and marketing efforts. New customers this year include the Audit Commission, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Bank of Ireland, Shipowners and Northern Ireland Department of Health.

Commenting on the partnership, Brian Reid, Sales Director for Kainos said, "Improving information management practices is a key focus for many organizations, particularly in the public sector and financial services industries. This is being driven by a range of factors, including a need to improve the efficiency of business processes, the demands of compliance regulations and the desire to deliver new services. The Meridio product suite is built on Microsoft technology and complements the Microsoft offering particularly in the area of records management. Working in partnership with Meridio and Microsoft will enable us to provide our customers with eDRM solutions that add value and deliver real business benefit."

"Kainos understands that eDRM initiatives succeed or fail based on the quality of implementation. This is because organizations that implement information management systems take on change and process management at the same time," said Nigel Hutchinson, VP EMEA for Meridio. "Kainos has the experience and expertise to successfully implement eDRM solutions that both satisfy an organization's compliance requirements and increase their effectiveness."
