AUTONOMY ZANTAZ INTRODUCES INDUSTRY'S FIRST CONSOLIDATED ARCHIVE OF ALL INFORMATION SOURCES INCLUDING VOICE

Leader in Archiving, e-Discovery and Proactive Information Risk Management Brings Intelligence to the Next Generation of Digital Safe

Cambridge, UK and Pleasanton, Calif. - Sept. 4, 2007 - ZANTAZ, an Autonomy company and the leader in the archiving, e-Discovery and Proactive Information Risk Management (IRM) markets, today unveiled its plans for the next generation of Digital Safe, its consolidated archiving Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.

Autonomy ZANTAZ will power Digital Safe with Autonomy's advanced Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) and IDOL Speech technologies to provide a full spectrum of Proactive Information Management capabilities. IDOL automates the understanding, processing and analysis of all information sources from more than 400 data repositories and in over 100 languages. With IDOL, ZANTAZ customers will be able to quickly and accurately identify valuable patterns in their information contained in the ZANTAZ archive. This latest product strategy will deliver intelligence and advanced analytics functions to Digital Safe, providing it with a solid future and forming the foundation for automated retention management.

"Digital Safe is one of the jewels of the ZANTAZ acquisition because of its industry-leading scalability, security and SaaS model," said Mike Lynch, CEO of Autonomy. "Autonomy is able to enhance Digital Safe with key conceptual advances and speech analytics technology, providing a strong future to meet growing customers' demands."

In addition, with the Autonomy IDOL Speech technology, Digital Safe will enable customers to archive all of their recorded phone conversations and effectively process and analyze that data for regulatory compliance, as well as risk management, and quality monitoring.

As the de facto standard for regulators, securities firms and enterprises, ZANTAZ Digital Safe is a massively scalable, hosted archive service that enables customers to outsource to a trusted, proven third party, the storage and management of their email messages, attachments, Instant Messages (IMs), and other unstructured documents. Digital Safe as a SaaS offering is the most scalable and secure Proactive Information Risk Management solution available on the market. It stores more than five petabytes of content and archives and more than one billion new messages every 60 days. Each month, an average of 1,200 discovery audits are conducted on content stored in Digital Safe, resulting in the production of approximately 1.5 terabytes of data in litigation-ready format. Currently, Digital Safe has stored 16 billion messages and one million files are processed every hour. Digital Safe's scalability is unique and unmatched by any other email archiving system available in the market today.

Autonomy ZANTAZ Digital Safe customers typically experience Total Cost of Ownership savings of 30 to 50 percent, when compared to in-house or other hosted solutions. Digital Safe helps organizations to eliminate the burden of acquiring, implanting and managing local storage, including the time and cost associated with backups, administration, software upgrades and technical support. The ZANTAZ solution requires no onsite hardware and is completely transparent to end users. Customers' data are stored in two-geographically-dispersed, ultra-secure, SAS 70-compliant data centers, ensuring extra protection and continuity of business in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. In addition, the Digital Safe systems are monitored by highly trained experts 24x7.
