Interwoven WorkSite Infused with New Innovations to Address Increasing Email Management Challenges of Professional Services Firms
New Features Provide Professionals with an Easy and Intuitive Way to Manage Client-Related Information
ILTA 2007 CONFERENCE, Orlando, FL., - August 20, 2007 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions, today announced an enhanced version of its award-winning Interwoven WorkSite solution, bringing advanced email management capabilities to professional services firms. Interwoven WorkSite now provides business professionals with new ways to file email quickly, easily, and accurately, and includes significantly enhanced access and management of email from mobile devices.
Based on a survey by LegalTech, the average lawyer deals with 200 to 500 emails a day. Email management has become a mission-critical business issue for firms. The avalanche of email flowing in and out of today's firms has placed a tremendous amount of pressure on organizations as they struggle to keep up with storage and filing needs. From a productivity standpoint, there has not been an efficient way to simply file, access, and manage email appropriately which has become a source of great frustration and risk.
Interwoven WorkSite 8.2 addresses these issues with new send and file functionality that provides an easy way for users to tag email with metadata, eliminating the time consuming, and often avoided, drag-and-drop filing method. Once an email is tagged, the email, as well as any responses to it, can either be automatically filed or sent via a single click to the proper client-matter file folder. Additionally, Interwoven WorkSite allows staff to access and manage email from mobile devices, an important capability as professionals are increasingly operating from remote locations.
Bird & Bird Sees Immediate Benefits from New Email Management Capabilities Bird & Bird, an international law firm with 14 offices worldwide, has implemented the new solution to create a single repository for client matter. Now Bird & Bird benefits from a single source of information, and has created an easy-to-use, consistent process for storing, managing and accessing client matter, especially the mountain of emails generated on a daily basis.
"Our attorneys used to spend a significant amount of time on email and managing their inbox," said Karen Jacks, global head of IT at Bird & Bird. "The ability to quickly and easily tag a client email for automatic inclusion into the appropriate matter file will save our firm time and money, and countless hours of frustration. Implementing new Interwoven capabilities gives our lawyers the continued technology they need to effectively and easily manage client emails."
"Today, law firms are presented with a growing wave of internal, regulatory, and technology changes - from new developments in e-discovery to security, compliance, mobility and globalization issues," said Neil Araujo, vice president of professional services industry solutions at Interwoven. "In order to maintain agility and respond quickly to clients needs, firms must have the right policies and technology in place to properly manage email. Interwoven WorkSite's advanced email management functionality provides users with a faster and more intuitive way to file and retrieve matter files from anywhere and anyplace, improving productivity and responsiveness, while reducing risk to the firm."
