Leading International Law Firm Selects Interwoven for One Firm, One Approach Initiative
Salans Standardizes on Interwoven WorkSite to Drive Improved Service to Clients in 18 Countries
SAN JOSE, Calif., - August 2, 2007 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions today announced that Salans, a leading international law firm, has selected Interwoven WorkSite to provide a single, unified document and email management system throughout their globally dispersed offices. Interwoven WorkSite will enable Salans' lawyers and staff to access, file, retrieve, and share documents in a direct, intuitive and secure manner.
The Interwoven WorkSite solution is replacing Salans' existing Hummingbird document management system as part of a global initiative to provide lawyers with one best-of-breed matter-centric approach across their geographically dispersed offices. Interwoven partner Tikit, the legal IT specialists, will roll-out Interwoven WorkSite to more than 1,300 users in 18 countries as part of a larger IT project launched by Salans last year.
Marcel Henri, global IT director, Salans, explains: "This initiative demonstrates our firm's continuous investment in up-to-date technology as part of our service delivery to both clients and 1,300 legal professionals in our expanding network. In this context, our 'one firm, one approach' model is being strengthened by the Interwoven solution in providing seamless access to documents from any office in the world," he says.
"We selected Interwoven WorkSite first and foremost because of the intuitive nature of the interface. With this solution, our lawyers are able to file, store, retrieve, and share documents and email in exactly the same manner as with traditional paper-based files. Secondly, the solution is scaleable; it was essential to implement exactly the same solution across all our offices - irrespective of their operating environment, existing infrastructure or language. This was a particularly important factor because 20 percent of our revenue comes from work 'exported' across offices," adds Henri.
"Salans can feel confident they have chosen the right document management solution for their firm - as the de facto standard for legal IT, Interwoven WorkSite is used today by more Global 100, AmLaw 200, and top 200 United Kingdom firms than any other solution on the market," said Chris Junker, vice president and general manager, professional services industry solutions at Interwoven. "By combining Interwoven's award-winning technology and Tikit's legal-sector service experience, Salans will have a powerful platform for delivering superior client service worldwide."
"We chose to work with Interwoven implementation partner Tikit because they are recognized leaders in the legal IT field and we have already had the opportunity to verify their value-add on other key Salans projects such as CRM," Henri added.
"Salans is a legal firm committed to using award-winning technology to generate business advantage and we are delighted to be working with Interwoven on this exciting project," said Gorka Catania, commercial director at Tikit France. "It confirms Tikit and Interwoven's status as leading specialists in the legal sector, where document integrity, compliance, and security requirements are particularly demanding,"
