Meridio Announces the Availability of Meridio® 5.0

Meridio 5.0 Delivers Governance Solutions on the Microsoft® Office 2007 Platform

Waltham MA, June 05, 2007 – Meridio, the leading worldwide provider of enterprise Document and Records Management (eDRM) software engineered for Microsoft® .NET based technologies, today announced the availability of Meridio® 5.0, the next major release of its market leading eDRM solution. Meridio 5.0 delivers eDRM software that helps an organization manage its Governance obligations which include compliance to legislation, avoidance of litigation, and optimization of business process.

New features in Meridio 5.0 include:

Support for new releases of Microsoft software, including Microsoft Office 2007, Exchange 2007 and Vista.
Extending Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 to deliver a seamless user experience in Meridio Governance Solutions. With Meridio 5.0, records can be made from SharePoint content automatically based on policy, or by users with a single click.
Delivering an Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategy for Microsoft MOSS 2007 content. Meridio ILM manages SharePoint content in response to its usage and security needs over time to optimize storage consumption and cost.
Exploiting Microsoft Exchange Managed Folders as a records categorization tool. In combination with Meridio Enterprise Document Capture (EDC), this provides an easy-to-use categorization system for email records.
Capturing PST files at the user's desktop removing a potential source of litigation risk.
Offering compatibility with earlier versions of Microsoft software. Meridio allows an organization to satisfy their corporate governance needs today, and leverage future Microsoft integration opportunities as their IT strategy dictates.
Providing an enterprise view of records policy though fileplan replication. Fileplan replication allows organizations to implement policy constantly throughout an organization.
Extending the EDC framework to support increased automation and make it easier to extend EDC to other content sources. EDC allows an organization to take control of content from any source in the enterprise.
Enhanced duplicate content detection and control. Enhanced duplicate detection makes sure that emails, and other content, are only captured and categorized once.

"Our customers continually ask us to make Governance solutions as easy to use as possible," said Brian Baird, Chief Executive Officer, Meridio Ltd. "Making records management easier improves user adoption and increases the value of information. Our exploitation of the new records interfaces in MOSS has produced the most intuitive and non-intrusive Meridio yet."

Meridio 5.0 offers users of Microsoft Office technologies the benefits of Records Re-Use, Information Lifecycle Management, Government Security, Industry Certifications, High-volume Journaled Email, Hierarchical Records Classification, Content Replication, Physical Records Management and Linkage to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data.

"The advances in this release are a natural evolution of our strategy to make Meridio seamlessly extend the capabilities of SharePoint," said Alan Gilmore, CTO, Meridio Ltd. "Users of Meridio with previous versions of SharePoint will find the same easy experience, but have opportunities to use the MOSS 2007 policy model to do more for them automatically."
