According to Gartner, the leading research and advisory firm with more than 60,000 clients, the 2006 worldwide email active archiving market was $207 million in new software license revenue, an increase of 42.8 percent over 2005. The market is expected to grow to $1.0 billion by 2011. For the Magic Quadrant report, Gartner's evaluation criteria included the company's vision, ability to execute, which include market understanding, sales strategy, innovation, business model, market responsiveness, track record, and customer service experience.
