ZANTAZ Surpasses 1000 Customer Mark

1000th Customer Hercules Incorporated, A Major Producer of Specialty Chemicals, Purchases Suite of ZANTAZ Solutions

PLEASANTON, Calif. - May 22, 2007 - ZANTAZ, Inc., the global leader in content archiving and electronic discovery solutions, marked a key milestone with Hercules Incorporated, a major producer of specialty chemicals, named as the company's 1000th customer. Hercules purchased a suite of ZANTAZ content archiving and electronic discovery solutions including ZANTAZ Digital Safe, Enterprise Archive Solution (EAS) and Tape Restoration services.

For more than 10 years, ZANTAZ has helped its customers successfully archive, manage and retrieve their electronic content - including e-mail, files and other electronic records - and quickly respond to corporate governance, knowledge management, and regulatory and legal requirements. As a result, ZANTAZ has achieved market leadership and counts among its customers 11 of the Fortune 25, nine out of the 10 top global law firms, and a number of government agencies.

"ZANTAZ took the time to fully understand our architecture and needs, and then proposed a solution that addressed our requirements and was within our budget," said Keith D. Thomas, director, global IT solutions and strategy. "In addition, ZANTAZ' knowledge and expertise is impressive, especially as it relates to the challenging and varied worldwide legal requirements governing e-mail. We look forward to continuing to work with ZANTAZ as their e-mail archiving system becomes fully implemented within Hercules, and as we utilize their customer-friendly hosted archiving solution."

"As recent headlines support, both government agencies and corporations must be proactive and aggressive in archiving digital content as well as producing that content for legal discovery," said Steve King, president and CEO of ZANTAZ. "With continuing pressure on companies to improve compliance and prepare for litigation while controlling or cutting IT costs, we expect strong continued demand for our products."

ZANTAZ offers its products as on-demand solutions, on-site software or a combination of both, giving customers the flexibility they need to meet their specific technical and financial objectives. This has resulted in the following achievements:

  • ZANTAZ was ranked a top-five service provider and a top-five software provider in the prestigious 2006 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey. This is the second year in a row ZANTAZ has been ranked a top-five service provider.
  • ZANTAZ Enterprise Archive Solution (EAS), the company's on-premise archiving solution, is currently used by more than 1.7 million users globally.
  • ZANTAZ on-demand archiving solution, Digital Safe, currently protects more than 14 billion e-mail messages, and is growing at more than half a billion messages per month.
  • ZANTAZ Introspect hosting service for litigation support currently hosts more than 1 billion pages with its license Introspect software being used by major corporations and law firms worldwide.
