Interwoven Works Together With Microsoft to Create Integrated Solutions That Contribute to Customer Success at New Zealand Government Agency

Interwoven Works Together With Microsoft to Create Integrated Solutions That Contribute to Customer Success at New Zealand Government Agency

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., - Interwoven GearUp '07 Conference - April 26, 2007 - Today at GearUp 2007, Interwoven's (NASDAQ: IWOV) annual user conference, Interwoven and Microsoft Corp. demonstrated Interwoven WorkSite working on Windows Vista with the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 integration

Also today at GearUp, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, New Zealand's national economic development agency, demonstrated how its extensive utilization of Interwoven WorkSite with SharePoint Server 2007 enables collaboration for its global workforce.

"Our combined success with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise is a great example of the shared vision that Microsoft and Interwoven have for content management solutions that reach across firms, enterprises, and continents to enable true collaboration," said Rafiq Mohammadi, chief technology officer at Interwoven. "We are committed to providing deep domain expertise across the full spectrum of Microsoft industry-standard platform technologies, including the 2007 Microsoft Office system, Windows Vista and SharePoint Server 2007, to deliver immediate value to our customers. Working closely with Microsoft, we will continue raise the bar for content management."

"Interwoven and Microsoft have worked closely together to ensure that customers can quickly and successfully implement comprehensive content management solutions across their Microsoft environments," said Alexandre Pombo, director of Microsoft Business Applications at Microsoft. "It is exciting to see this vibrant collaboration bearing fruit with great customer successes like New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. We have a deep understanding of who our mutual customers are, what they need, and how they are deriving value from our relationship"

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) works to stimulate economic growth by helping boost export earnings, strengthen regional economies, and deliver economic development assistance to industries and individual businesses. NZTE sees the new solution delivering much broader user adoption from the unified collaborative system based on SharePoint Server 2007 and Interwoven WorkSite to link their global network of 48 offices in 36 countries.

NZTE projects are becoming increasingly more complex - with more complex deliverables across disparate locations and times zones with multiple partners and clients, resulting in more information to consume by more people in more places. To be successful, NTZE needed to develop a collaborative system that enabled them to operate across corporate and government boundaries and provide the right information to the right people, while maintaining tight control of the processes and content.

NZTE's goal was to create a single, simple interface to store and retrieve client and project information. They developed a system that uses SharePoint Server 2007 as the portal with Interwoven WorkSite to manage the volumes of unstructured data, integrated with their customer resource management and financial management information systems. By creating a single, unified access point to all data, NZTE increased global access, improved accuracy, and enhanced productivity.

"The integration of SharePoint Server 2007 and WorkSite is enabling us to optimize our field organization to become more effective and follow standard practices," said Richard Ashworth, chief technology officer, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. "This is the foundational system on which we will continue to grow and build. By choosing products that work seamlessly with this architecture, we are gaining a quicker, more reliable, and comprehensive solution."

Interwoven WorkSite support for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 was released in March 2007. Today Interwoven demonstrated its WorkSite solution fully integrated with the 2007 Microsoft Office system environment, including support for unified search across SharePoint Server 2007 and WorkSite content through the SharePoint Server 2007 search interface and integration with Windows Workflow Foundation. WorkSite support for Windows Vista and the 2007 Microsoft Office system will be generally available in June 2007.

GearUp 2007 The solution will be featured at the company's annual customer conference, GearUp 2007, April 25 - 27 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Nearly 1,000 members of the Interwoven community - customers, partners, prospects and employees - will attend the conference themed "GearUp for Growth." Microsoft has sponsored the conference Gala Event, where GearUp attendees are invited to attend a gala dinner and dance event at the San Francisco Exploratorium, the renowned museum of Science, Art and Human Perception, www.exploratorium.edu on April 26, 2007. Guests will mingle among eye-opening exhibits and marvel at the endless discoveries that deliver the ultimate interactive experience-a nod to the interactive experience that Interwoven also delivers.
