BioPAD chooses Meridio for Knowledge Management Solution

Meridio helps BioPAD leverage their Intellectual Property

Belfast NI, April 16, 2007 – Meridio, the leading worldwide provider of enterprise Document and Records Management (eDRM) software engineered for Microsoft® .NET based technologies, today announced that BioPAD, a Biotechnology Regional Innovation Centre established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), has deployed Meridio as part of a Microsoft Office-centric Knowledge Management solution. BioPAD is based in Pretoria, South Africa. The centre was initiated in 2002 by a group of interested biotechnology stakeholders with the aim of boosting biotechnology development in the region. At the core of BioPAD's objectives is the implementation of the National Biotechnology Strategy of South Africa.

Meridio® is being deployed to meet BioPAD's Records Management needs. Integrated with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, Meridio provides seamless access to BioPAD's Fileplan through a familiar Microsoft Office user interface. The solution is further integrated with Kofax Ascent Capture to provide rapid access to existing paper documentation through Meridio.

The integrated solution provides a secure Knowledge Management repository of BioPAD's stakeholders, contacts and funded projects.
