VIRAGE AND VUMII PARTNER FOR NEXT GENERATION PERIMETER SECURITY

Atlanta, GA, March 30th, 2007 - Vumii, Inc. a provider of electro-optics and advanced image processing, today announced that it has entered into a global partnership with Virage Security and Surveillance, a world leader in intelligent video analytics, to deliver next generation perimeter security to customers worldwide. Vumii selected Virage as its preferred vendor due to its proven expertise and superior technology.

The combination of these two best-in-class vendors will deliver a ground-breaking day and night video surveillance solution to protect critical infrastructure such as ports, airports and energy installations. With its ability to automate perimeter surveillance in zero visible light at a range greater than one mile, this new offering will enable security vendors to ensure proactive security and reduce false alarms even in total darkness. The result is greater protection, a reduction in the costs associated with manual operations and ultimately tangible ROI.

Virage's Intelligent Scene Analysis System (iSAS) is a sophisticated tool to automate the detection of potential threats, such as bags left too long or suspicious behavior, as well as predicting possibly hazardous situations such as gathering crowds. Using sophisticated concept coding, Virage iSAS can interpret the severity of any potentially dangerous situation and generate real-time alerts to ensure security personnel respond appropriately.

Vumii's day/night investigative tool Discoverii™ uses a near infrared laser system to give a natural contrast image of text, markings, license plate numbers and other identifying characteristics up to 5,000 feet away in zero light. With a greater range and image quality than comparable LED or infrared solutions, Vumii delivers superior functionality with minimal maintenance costs. Using Discoverii™, Virage will be able to automate advanced content analysis operations in total darkness, delivering security companies the world over proactive security day and night.

"We truly feel that by partnering with Vumii we are able to offer clients the next generation in perimeter surveillance technology," commented David Humphrey, managing director of Virage Security and Surveillance. "Virage's video analytics coupled with Vumii's night vision camera system is one of the most powerful tools in night vision technology today."

"We are looking forward to expanding our markets by leveraging proven technologies such as Virage's analytic products. Integrating Virage's enterprise-level scene analysis with Vumii's Discoverii system will create a night security tool the likes of which the industry has never seen before," said Randall Foster, CEO of Vumii.
