Interwoven Announces Enhanced Collaborative Document Management Solution to Increase Business Agility
Solution Allows Organizations to Optimize Content to Fuel Productivity and Top-Line Growth
GARTNER Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit, Orlando, FL., - March 20, 2007 - Interwoven, Inc. (NASDAQ: IWOV), a global leader in content management solutions, today announced an enhanced version of Interwoven Collaborative Document Management that increases business agility by optimizing enterprise collaboration of document-intensive business processes.
This solution streamlines execution by facilitating team-based collaboration across a wide range of business processes, such as marketing planning, product launches, proposal and contract development, customer support, corporate legal matters, and general project management. Interwoven Collaborative Document Management includes a new version of the company's award-winning document management application, WorkSite MP 5.0, providing users with vastly enhanced search capabilities and a richer user experience powered by Ajax and other next generation Web-based technologies and services.
"As business cycles have become radically compressed, and customer demands and preferences shift faster than ever before, business agility and speed to market will make the difference between success and failure," said Rafiq Mohammadi, chief technology officer at Interwoven. "Interwoven Collaborative Document Management gets to the heart of this matter, by giving businesses a powerful engine for using content to integrate people and processes more efficiently. The solution transforms document-intensive processes from a burdensome experience to a competitive differentiator that can help an organization optimize operational efficiency and establish stronger customer relationships."
For example, an insurance provider can use Interwoven Collaborative Document Management in their call center to deliver a more efficient and satisfying customer experience. They can use the solution to create a Web-based knowledge center for claim and call center representatives, ensuring the representatives can quickly locate benefits information for members and providers. In addition, each representative can create their own personalized dashboard designed around customers' most frequent requests and needs to make each representative as productive as possible.
"Our industry traditionally has been focused on back office efficiencies for cost control and productivity. With electricity deregulation on the horizon, we now need to focus on front office innovation to retain our customers," explained Lawanda Parnell, Web solutions manager at CPS Energy. "We use Interwoven WorkSite today to streamline and manage internal processes like accounts payable and plan to use the new capabilities in the 5.0 version to further automate those internal processes. We also plan to use Interwoven TeamSite to link WorkSite-driven processes to the Web to drive customer loyalty programs, and online self-service. The combination will give us end-to-end business process improvements."
Interwoven Collaborative Document Management consists of the following products:
Interwoven WorkSite MP 5.0: a robust enterprise application that includes new implementation capabilities that speed deployment and strengthen business process management for interoperability with other enterprise systems and processes. WorkSite MP 5.0 includes comprehensive capabilities for facilitating eDiscovery and email management, as well as improved language support to simplify global deployments. WorkSite MP 5.0 includes several new capabilities, including:
New Media Add-on for seamless handling of images, multimedia and documents
Vastly enhanced search capabilities
Improved Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook integration for increased ease of use for business users
New Lotus Notes drag and drop interface for email management
Microsoft Office 2007 and Vista support for WorkSite MP clients
Interwoven Content Integration Module: a flexible framework and set of adapters that enable automated taxonomy building and rules-driven Web publishing from WorkSite MP 5.0. Content Integration Module can use both metadata and events to automate the creation of knowledge bases and collateral publishing for improved content consistency and efficiency.
Interwoven MetaTagger: an enhanced content intelligence application that automatically categorizes content and extracts information based on business requirements, organizational standards, taxonomies and collective knowledge. MetaTagger minimizes the need for tedious, time-consuming, labor-intensive, and inconsistent manual tagging.
