AUTONOMY NAMED TO ECONTENT 100 LIST OF 'COMPANIES THAT MATTER MOST' FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Cambridge, UK and San Francisco, Calif. – Nov. 27, 2006 – Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it was named one of the top 100 companies in the digital content industry by EContent magazine. EContent is a leading IT business monthly that focuses on the development and implementation of digital content strategies and resources.

Handpicked by a global panel of judges, the 'EContent 100' award nominees were judged on their current standing, activities over the past year and respective impact on the digital content industry. The panel consisted of editors and specialists from EContent as well as other Information Today, Inc. editors. Having selected the nominees, judges spent a month voting, debating and collaborating to determine the top 100 successful companies that matter most in the digital content industry. The 'EContent 100' list is published in the December 2006 issue of the magazine and available online at www.econtentmag.com.

"This is the fourth year in a row that Autonomy has been cited by EContent as a company that matters most, recognized for its contributions to the advancement of search technologies," said Dr Mike Lynch, Autonomy's CEO. “EContent's honor serves as further testimony to Autonomy's unique ability to enable organizations to maximize the value of enterprise data at every step of their information process flow."

In selecting Autonomy for the 2006 'EContent 100,' the panel of judges noted the company's leading market share, thought– and technology–leadership, as well as innovation.

"The 'EContent 100' list provides a look at the stand–out companies that demonstrate the winning strategies and solutions which define the digital content industry," said Michelle Manafy, EContent's editor. "Autonomy, like the others on this year's list, is a company that is having a significant impact on the quality, breadth and depth of our industry."
