Hwa Nan Financial Chooses Interwoven to Increase Customer Satisfaction
Interwoven TeamSite delivers Website optimization, on-time content delivery, and ttreamlined internal process
SUNNYVALE, Calif - November 2, 2006 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that Hwa Nan Financial Holdings Company (HNFHC), one of Taiwan's largest financial institutions, has implemented Interwoven's flagship WCM solution, based on Interwoven TeamSite, in support of their subsidiary, Hwa Nan Commercial Bank (HNCB) - a move that streamlines internal process, accelerates external Web site content updates, and provides a centralized content management repository capable of handling vast amounts of evolving data.
The large volume of Hwa Nan's internal data existed in a previously decentralized environment. Content accessibility and quality concerns necessitated the creation of efficient Website content management procedures. After careful research and consideration Interwoven's WCM solution was introduced to provide a set of standardized procedures for editing, uploading, reviewing, previewing, and finally publishing the content on the Web.
HNFHC's Information Technology & Administration Department (ITAD) was challenged with meeting the key business objectives of their various business units. In order to address marketing initiatives such as cross-selling and resource integration, the Department was empowered to promote internal Content Management. The ITAD built an employee portal for Hwa Nan Commercial Bank and utilized the Interwoven WCM solution to establish the Web site management platform structure. They were able to duplicate this successful process for other subsidiaries of the group.
With Interwoven's WCM solution, the ITAD constructed a self-service platform environment for every business unit-allowing the respective content providers to contribute Web copy, significantly reducing publication time. Previously, business units communicated change requests to the ITAD through formal paperwork, requiring a level of administration that was both time-consuming and costly. With Interwoven's WCM solution, supervisors can quickly review and approve content online and immediately update the Website after production.
Interwoven enables HNFHC to deliver the most comprehensive, up-to-date and accurate information to its corporate Website customers while providing an optimal interactive exchange platform for publishing and circulating internal messages and knowledge.
Casey Lo, head of ITAD at HNFHC said, "After introducing Interwoven's WCM solution, the content and application service we painstakingly created boosted repeat usage, maximizing its core value. Each business unit can simply select and obtain the information it requires from the content management platform for free usage and publication on the Web site. In other words, the same content may be displayed simultaneously on the bank employee portal, the external Website and the e-commerce service area, or even on the Websites of subsidiaries involved in related operations. This has not only clearly reduced the cost of Website content publication and new Website creation, but also fully realized the benefits of resource sharing."
Mike Chen, managing director of Interwoven's Greater China operation stated, "In terms of both its forward-looking vision and implementation for Web site content management structure, HNFHC has shown themselves as a pioneer in Taiwan's financial sector. We are very proud and honored to participate in this significant project as the provider of HNFHC's Website content management platform."
