AUTONOMY SIGNS MULTIMILLION POUND CONTRACT WITH THE UK GOVERNMENT

Cambridge, England - 30 October 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it has entered into a multi-million pound contract with the U.K. Government to deploy Autonomy IDOL Server software.

Autonomy has a long and distinguished history of collaboration with many of the world's leading government, defense and intelligence agencies, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, NASA, the U.S. Air Force, the U.K. Audit Commission and the U.K. Department of Trade and Industry.

Autonomy's agreement with the U.K. Government is based on software license, professional services and maintenance fees.
