AUTONOMY EXPECTS TO REPORT RECORD RESULTS WITH THIRD QUARTER REVENUES AHEAD OF TOP END OF ANALYST ESTIMATES
Scheduling of Third Quarter Results and Conference Call
CAMBRIDGE, England - October 11, 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it expects to report record third quarter 2006 results, with revenues ahead of the top end of analyst estimates and a consequentially strong profit before tax performance both on an adjusted basis and under IFRS.
Commenting on trading in the third quarter, Dr. Mike Lynch, Group CEO of Autonomy said today: "We are pleased to be able to report continued strong year-on-year growth in the third quarter, which is traditionally the weakest seasonally. Our leadership in the area of meaning based computing continues to be extended and Autonomy will report further on some of the exciting developments seen in the quarter at the time of the results announcement on 24 October 2006."
These results are preliminary and subject to the usual quarterly financial review by Autonomy’s independent auditors.
Results for the third quarter and nine months ended 30 September 2006 will be announced on 24 October 2006. A teleconference call to discuss these results will be hosted on 24 October 2006 at 9.30am BST. The call will be available live via webcast over the World Wide Web.
