AUTONOMY SIGNS CONTRACT WITH FINANCIAL TIMES

Cambridge, UK - 11 October 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that the Financial Times, one of the world's leading financial newspapers, has signed an agreement to deploy Autonomy's IDOL Server.

The Financial Times is one of the world's leading business information companies, providing a broad range of business information and services to the growing audience of internationally minded business people.

Autonomy's agreement with The Financial Times is based on software license and maintenance fees.
