Optimost Partners with Transcosmos to Bring Real-Time Testing Service to Japanese E-Commerce Marketplace
Demand for Web Analytics Surging in Asia
New York, New York - October 6, 2006 - Optimost, the pioneer in comprehensive real-time Web page testing solutions, and Transcosmos Inc., one of Japan's leading IT service providers, today announced a partnership to distribute Optimost solutions in Japan. Under the agreement, Transcosmos becomes a reseller of Optimost's Web page testing applications in the Japanese market.
Optimost's patent-pending software and multivariable testing methodology allow e-commerce companies to create and test thousands (or even millions) of possible permutations of a single Web page to determine which combinations of headlines, price points, graphics, layouts, or any other variables drive the highest conversion rate. The page can then be optimized based on real-time customer response data. In the U.S., major consumer Web sites such as Ask.com, Earthlink, Overstock.com, QuickenLoans, Real Networks, and Time Warner have seen their conversion rates increase by anywhere from 20-45% by using Optimost solutions.
Optimost's partnership with Transcosmos marks the firm's first move into the Japanese e-commerce market, a space that is growing exponentially. Web analytics development has followed suit, with search optimization and customer behavior metrics service providers expanding rapidly throughout the country. Based on initial optimization projects Optimost has already undertaken in partnership with Transcosmos, the firm's solutions have had a dramatic impact on Japanese site conversion rates. Moreover, because the Optimost platform now supports multi-byte character sets, it is scalable to Web pages in any foreign language.
"With such a rapid rate of expansion over the last few years, the Japanese marketplace is the perfect venue for Web page optimization," explained Optimost CEO Mark Wachen. "E-commerce sites that have grown quickly to keep pace with customer demand will now be able to refine their conversion rate strategies with the most advanced testing solution available. Together with Transcosmos, we look forward to making a big impact on the global stage."
In addition to serving as a reseller of the Optimost solution in Japan, Transcosmos has also made an equity investment in Optimost. The solution will be marketed through Transcosmos' Digital Marketing Service division. Transcosmos personnel have been trained extensively on the Optimost platform, and will continue to work closely with Optimost as new projects are implemented. Optimost joins many other leading Internet marketing and service companies who have partnered with Transcosmos, such as DoubleClick, NetRatings, RealNetworks, Ask.com, Become.com, CinemaNow and Pheedo.
"It is a great opportunity for us to start landing page optimization service with Optimost. We strongly believe that Optimost will be the major driving power of Transcosmos's Digital Marketing Service," said Transcosmos President & COO Masataka Okuda. "By integrating the most powerful landing page optimization service, Optimost, with our Internet advertising services, we will be able to help our customers drastically improve their competitiveness."
