PLEASANTON, Calif. - October 4, 2006 - ZANTAZ, Inc., the global leader in content archiving and electronic discovery solutions, is hosting its 2nd annual invitation-only ZForum User Conference in New York City, Oct. 4-6.

Conference attendees will hear from industry luminaries as well as ZANTAZ executives, customers, and partners about the emerging trends in the content archiving and electronic discovery markets as well as how to lower risks and reduce costs for information management.

This year's list of respected, well-known technology strategists and consultants include:

  • Thomas Allman, senior counsel, Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP. Allman, author of the law review article, "The Impact of the New Federal Rules," and frequent commentator on the impending changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), will discuss in depth how the rule changes will impact corporate electronic discovery and archiving policies.
  • Brian Babineau, analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. Babineau will participate in two roundtable discussions, "Emerging Trends in the Archiving Market and What They Mean for Your Organization" and "How does ECM/RM Tie In With Your Email Archives," both of which will concentrate on emerging trends in content archiving and how electronic content management and retention management should tie into email archiving policies.
  • Daniel Burrus, renowned technology and business forecaster. Burrus, the author of six books, including the highly acclaimed Technotrends, will present ZForum's opening keynote address, "The Next Wave: Turning Change Into Advantage." During his talk, Burrus will share his insights into the opportunities yet to come in an effort to help today's business leaders capitalize on the next wave of technological change.
  • Barry Murphy, analyst, Forrester Research, Inc. Murphy will participate in a session, "The Future of Electronic Discovery," during which he will discuss why organizations need to be more efficient, smarter, and proactive in the way they conduct electronic discovery.
  • George Socha, president, Socha Consulting. Socha will participate on a panel discussion, "Best Practices for Implementing E-Discovery: The Convergence of Content Archiving and Electronic Discovery," which will concentrate on how to implement electronic discovery best practices and make electronic discovery efforts more cost-effective, less time-consuming, and more efficient.

"ZForum is the most effective way for customers to share their experiences using ZANTAZ solutions and learn tips, tricks, and best practices for more effective content archiving and electronic discovery," said ZANTAZ President and CEO Steve King. "Our featured speakers, sponsor presentations, and partner pavilion participants, which include CSC, EMC, IBM, Microsoft, NetApp and Orchestria, will educate and inspire. Our goal is to ensure attendees stay one step ahead of the changes in the technologies and market trends related to managing and discovering electronic records, and use this information to stay one step ahead of their competition."
