Autonomy's K2 v7 Solution Recognized by KMWorld Magazine as "Trend Setting Product for 2006"
Leading industry publication acknowledges Autonomy as a pioneer in technology innovation
San Francisco, Calif., - 18th September, 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it has once again been selected as one of KMWorld Magazine's "Trend-Setting Products of 2006." Compiled and chosen by KMWorld staff, knowledge management analysts, vendors and users, this selection honors products for their promise in the marketplace. Autonomy's K2 v7 product, which was designed from the ground up to combine the advanced search capabilities of K2 with the scalability and performance of the IDOL kernel , was selected as an example of next-generation technology.
"Assembling the list of Trend-Setting Products of 2006 is a year-long collaborative effort with editorial colleagues and analysts and, especially, users," says Hugh McKellar, KMWorld editor in chief. "Roughly 1,500 products from some 300 vendors were considered, and the ones listed here demonstrate exquisite execution designed for, and with input from, the most important constituency of them all - their customers."
Autonomy K2 v7 combines the advanced word-based search and classification approaches of K2 with Autonomy's advanced pattern matching technologies. It provides existing customers with the ability to maximize their investment in K2 systems, and take advantage of IDOL's scalability and performance and advanced features such as video and audio handling.
"We are honored that KMWorld recognized K2 v7 for its ability to leverage investments in existing K2 systems, while adding advanced IDOL features," said Mike Lynch, chief executive officer of Autonomy. "This distinction provides further validation that our products are market-changing and deliver significant return-on-investment to global enterprises."
