Kiker to spearhead Interwoven's global marketing initiatives, including Interwoven's entry into new and growing markets
SUNNYVALE, Calif - September 14, 2006 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of content experience management solutions, today announced the appointment of Ben Kiker to the Interwoven executive management team as the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Kiker will be responsible for all aspects of Interwoven's global marketing strategy, including product, partner, customer and field marketing as well as communications, awareness and branding.
Kiker's career spans more than 20 years in the enterprise applications industry, including executive leadership positions for both public and venture-backed companies.
Kiker joins Interwoven from Siebel Systems where he was Vice President, Americas Marketing. In that role, he developed and executed an integrated marketing plan to promote Siebel's extensive solutions portfolio in the Americas. In addition, he worked extensively with Siebel's Alliances organization to leverage partner relationships, including Accenture and IBM, for co-marketing, provided strategic thought leadership for global marketing initiatives including company positioning and messaging, and managed key internal relationships to ensure greater sales and marketing alignment.
Prior to Siebel, Kiker served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Onyx Software where he was responsible for all marketing functions including product management, corporate marketing and communications, solutions marketing and channel support. During that period Onyx successfully completed a strategic transition from the mid-market to the enterprise by expanding its solutions portfolio to include customer, process and performance management solutions.
Before joining Onyx, Kiker held a series of progressive executive marketing positions with several leaders in the customer management category including Clarify, Vantive, Octel, and Aspect Communications.
"As Interwoven continues to deliver content-based solutions focused on the customer experience, it's fantastic to have someone with Ben's strong background in customer-facing technologies join the team," said Max Carnecchia, President of Interwoven. "Ben has a proven track record of developing integrated marketing teams that deliver high-impact results, and he will play an instrumental role in helping us capitalize on the global customer momentum that we see for our new solutions."
"Interwoven is leading the charge in redefining content management," said Ben Kiker. "The company has a phenomenal presence in the markets it serves and a strategy around the customer experience that gets to the heart of what drives business. I'm thrilled to be a part of a team with such a rich heritage, a compelling vision and a track record of success."
