Wipro selects Autonomy as the preferred vendor for meaning-based technologies and enterprise search
Knowledge Management solutions being implemented for GlaxoSmithKline
San Francisco, Calif., - September 12th, 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise and proponent of meaning-based computing, today announced that it has entered into a global partnership with Wipro Technologies, the Global IT Services Division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT). Wipro & Autonomy will create a joint task force providing end-to-end professional IT services for Autonomy customers worldwide.
Autonomy's superior scalability and language handling, unique ability to understand concepts in addition to keywords, one platform for all functions and data types, and next generation technologies such as automatic hyper linking, implicit query and video search will enhance the scope Wipro’s Knowledge Management solution offerings. Wipro is strategic partner to five of the top ten most innovative companies in the world and has selected Autonomy as a preferred vendor for meaning-based computing software solutions.
