Principal Hong Kong Selects Interwoven to Optimize Customer Experience
Interwoven Customer Experience Solution will enable global financial solutions provider to provide localized, timely, and accurate information to Asia-Pacific customers
HONG KONG - July 24, 2006 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that The Principal Insurance Company Hong Kong Ltd., one of the major pension providers in Hong Kong, with its parent company the Principal Financial Group, (The Principal®), has selected the Interwoven Customer Experience Solution to power their customer websites in Hong Kong. The Principal expects the Interwoven solution to vastly improve customer experience by providing a consistent corporate image, multilingual localized content, accelerated time-to-market, and overall improvement of content quality, all while reducing operational costs.
With the Internet raising the bar on customers' expectations of the timeliness and accessibility of information and customer service, Principal Hong Kong envisioned the creation of a single platform that would allow for simultaneous, rapid publishing of business and product information, and the eventual rollout of a multinational, multilingual presence in the region. The company also needed to provide a consistent, centralized control over look and feel, and at the same time enable decentralized contribution by country, product, and solution marketers.
To address these challenges, The Principal sought a solution that would meet its goals to unite its businesses under a single brand and to provide tailored, country- and language-specific information to its customers. After evaluating various solutions, The Principal selected the Interwoven solution because of its scalability, ease-of-use, and ability to support multiple languages, and also due to Interwoven's established track record supporting leading companies in the financial services industry.

Because business people across the organization will be empowered to directly contribute to customer websites without IT assistance, customers will receive content that is more relevant, contributed by people who deal with customers and know them best.
