CARDIFF® UNVEILS NEXT GENERATION OF INTELLIGENT DOCUMENT PROCESSING

Cardiff launches TeleForm® v10, expands on industry standard for intelligent forms and document capture, eliminates manual transcription and delivers 60-80% reduction in cost

Vista, California, - June 27th, 2006 - Cardiff, an Autonomy Company and the market leader in intelligent document processing solutions, today announced the launch of TeleForm Version 10. Cardiff TeleForm v10 expands on fifteen years as a standard in the information capture industry and now automatically classifies, extracts and validates the data from any paper document or form type, in order to improve data accuracy, reduce operating costs and accelerate business processes. On a single platform, TeleForm v10 accelerates high-volume, high-accuracy information capture from paper and documents that are structured, semi- or unstructured in nature, received from either centralized or distributed locations. Additionally, TeleForm v10 provides the deep and secure level of auditing and reporting required for compliance in heavily regulated industries.

Cardiff TeleForm is a cornerstone piece of the Cardiff Intelligent Document solution. Unlike a traditional static document which is disconnected from the process, systems and data that it is a part of, a Cardiff Intelligent Document is context aware. The context aware document knows how to securely navigate the process between people and systems, and makes recommendations to the user based on current and historical conditions in order to ensure data accuracy and integrity. With the unparalleled flexibility of Cardiff, organizations efficiently and automatically capture information from paper and electronic sources - regardless of the complexity. Further, Cardiff Intelligent Documents are built with open standards and require no client-side software.

"TeleForm is truly a mission-critical system for AMN Healthcare. We use the system to capture and process key workforce documents that drive our business operations. Our last TeleForm upgrade resulted in 10% better data quality and 20% faster processing", said Bruce Carothers, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer at AMN Healthcare. "We're excited about TeleForm V10. We expect to drive additional quality and productivity improvements, enable new web-based services for our customers, and provide detailed audit trails to improve our internal and external compliance."

New capabilities:

  • Intelligently identifies form and document types of varied structures and formats, using a robust suite of identification methods, and automatically sorts scanned documents into "virtual piles" that can be efficiently processed and validated without manual intervention.
  • Reads hand-print, machine print, optical mark, barcodes, and signatures from paper forms and documents. With a Cardiff TeleForm deployment customers typically experience a 60-80% reduction in the costs by eliminating the need for manual transcription.
  • Integrates data directly into enterprise applications using 300 pre-built adapters and Includes programming tools that enable customers to create custom interfaces in order to seamlessly integrate with existing business systems.
  • Inherently incorporates security and compliance with visibility into in-process activities via monitoring, auditing, reporting and analysis tools. From scan to commit, operators have real-time access to monitor the state of forms and documents.
  • Provides point and click setup of electronic business process initiation and rendezvous of paper documents with in-progress electronic workflows occurring within Cardiff's flagship business process automation platform, LiquidOffice.

"With its flexible, secure workflow environment, TeleForm is the only platform that will allow us to streamline all of our paper-borne processes and unify our handling of the documents that drive our business, whether forms or unstructured documents such as contracts and invoices" says Bob Tiede, Dairy Farmers of America.

Mark Seamans, General Manager of Cardiff commented on the release of TeleForm v10: "Over 8,000 of the world's largest organizations believe that a key to their competitiveness and success today is their ability to automate their processes with Cardiff Intelligent Documents". Seamans continued, "Our customers are processing critical documents such as loan documents, clinical trial forms, invoices and thousands of other types at a rate of millions of documents per hour all over the world. Now with TeleForm Version 10, companies have an unparalleled level of automation and new market leading capabilities such as the need for a single, easily deployed, user friendly, bullet-proof and auditable environment."
