ABN AMRO-AUNGATE PARTNERSHIP HONORED AT FST AWARDS 2006

Aungate-powered ABN AMRO system named Compliance Project of the Year at the Financial Sector Technology Awards 2006

Cambridge, England, March 31st, 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that an ABN AMRO project using Aungate technology has been named Compliance Project of the Year at the FST Awards. The awards ceremony was held last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

ABN AMRO's Project Galileo system is founded on the technology of Aungate, leader in real-time enterprise governance and a division of the Autonomy Group. Project Galileo ensures that ABN AMRO's lawyers and compliance officers are provided with consistent advice across the globe; while simultaneously and automatically alerting them to constantly changing regulations in order to provide their clients with timely and accurate advice. Aungate powers real-time enterprise governance operations and is underpinned by Autonomy's Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) which automatically forms a conceptual understanding of information and that within ABN AMRO automatically delivers relevant information to compliance professionals through a single interface while they remain 'on-task'.

Commenting on this award Ian Black, Managing Director of Aungate said: "We are delighted and honored to receive this recognition from Financial Sector Technology which also highlights ABN AMRO's world-class compliance operations. In setting the standard for real-time governance operations Aungate is unique in providing solutions which automatically understand the content and interrelationships of all enterprise information including email, Instant Messaging (IM), rich media - including voice and video content. We are proud to be associated with ABN AMRO’s significant achievements and to support their reputation and high-standards with our technology."
