Interwoven Further Extends Professional Services Solution Leadership with Coveted Customer 'Implementation of the Year' Awards in Europe
Leading European law firms enhance client service and improve operational efficiencies with Interwoven Engagement/Matter-Centric Collaboration Solution
SUNNYVALE, Calif - March 20, 2006 - Interwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that its customer Houthoff Buruma, a leading European law firm, and Morningstar Systems, an Interwoven systems integrator partner, won the 'Application of the Year' award from Netherlands-based VIP Magazine. The award was won for Houthoff Buruma's exemplary use of the Interwoven Engagement/Matter-Centric Collaboration solution to enhance client service and improve operational efficiencies across the firm.
This latest accolade follows on the heels of Interwoven's receipt of UK-based Legal Business Magazine's coveted Legal Technology Award in the category of 'Implementation of the Year' for its role in enabling Pinsent Masons, a top UK-based law firm, to successfully consolidate client files in a unified document management system, streamline business processes, and further enhance client service following the earlier merger of the two firms Pinsent and Masons. Together, the two awards strongly support and extend Interwoven's continued technology leadership within the professional services industry.
VIP Magazine is the leading source for news on document management and related technologies in The Netherlands, and 'Application of the Year' awards were given to those companies that garnered the leading vote counts from the magazine's readership.
"Being recognized with these prestigious awards is strong validation of Interwoven's commitment to providing professional services firms with the industry's most robust solution for the management of client files, and for ensuring the best possible client experience," said Neil Araujo, vice president of professional services solutions at Interwoven. "Furthermore, what makes both of these awards an even greater honor is the fact that they were based on the votes of users themselves. It's clear that Interwoven's focus on ease-of-use and modeling technology after the way professional services users actually work, is delivering real benefit to our customers."
With 700 users across five offices internationally, Houthoff Buruma adopted the Interwoven Engagement/Matter-Centric Collaboration Solution, based on Interwoven WorkSite software, to enable lawyers and staff across geographies to easily collaborate, share, and access complete client engagement files. As a result of Morningstar's exemplary implementation of the Interwoven solution, Houthoff Buruma can now ensure that its lawyers and staff have access to the most up-to-date client information 24 hours a day, thereby enhancing the level of service it can provide clients.
"We're honoured to receive this prestigious award and are extremely pleased with the successes we've achieved with the Interwoven Engagement/Matter-Centric Solution," said Willem Verloop, manager ICT at Houthoff Buruma. "The combination of Interwoven's industry-leading technology and Morningstar's implementation expertise has resulted in a single 'core business' solution to help us manage complete client files, improve efficiencies, and ensure we deliver the best possible service to our clients at all times."
René Beulen, director of Morningstar Systems commented: "We're thrilled that our application of Interwoven at Houthoff Buruma has received such an accolade. Interwoven truly delivers market-leading solutions, and we're pleased to work so closely with this valued partner to enable leading professional services organizations like Houthoff Buruma to achieve such a high degree of operational and client success."
After merging in December 2004, Pinsent Masons was faced with the challenge of consolidating client documents, e-mails, and other client content from two different document management systems into a single unified environment. Based on Interwoven's strong reputation within the professional services market, proven ROI, and best-in-class ease-of-use, the decision was made to standardize on Interwoven's Engagement/Matter-Centric Collaboration solution. As a result, in only 60 days, the newly-merged firm was able to successfully consolidate over 6.7 million documents within the Interwoven solution, enabling over 1,000 users across 11 offices to access a central, collaborative document management environment containing all client-related content. The end result has been more rapid and easy access to client information for an optimal client experience.
"When we merged, it was a daunting task to bring all of our client information into one system, but the Interwoven solution enabled us to accomplish this extremely quickly and with ease," said Colin Smith, director of Information Technology at Pinsent Masons. "Now, with Interwoven in place across the entire firm, we can ensure that we provide our clients with the best possible experience since our lawyers and staff can effectively manage the client file throughout its entire lifecycle in one central location. Interwoven is truly deserving of a Legal Technology Award for the high degree of operational efficiency and client satisfaction that they have helped us to achieve."
