AUTONOMY ANNOUNCES ATTENDANCE AT LEGALTECH NEW YORK 2006
Autonomy's technology supporting LIT Group, Inc. and powering their "digit" solution
San Francisco, Calif. - Jan. 31, 2006 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that it will be attending LegalTech New York 2006, the largest and most important legal technology event of the year. The 25th LegalTech New York will be held at the Hilton New York Hotel from January 31 - February 1. The LIT Group, a leading provider of technology-based professional services for legal information management, will be giving three presentations on breakthrough technology for collecting electronically stored information. These sessions will give a concise overview of technologies including digit, a LIT Group solution powered by Autonomy.
The LIT Group's digit solution is powered by Autonomy's core technology, the Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL). IDOL acts as the backbone to an enterprise's data and forms a conceptual and contextual understanding of that information. This unique technology provides significant benefits inside the litigation process because the technology automatically identifies both 'known' and 'unknown' information themes inside terabytes of unstructured information. IDOL powers the only end-to-end technology solution that enables the enterprise to involve legal counsel in compliance and records management strategy. IDOL technology makes it easy for counsel to oversee any legal discovery process.
Vital to maintaining a competitive advantage in the legal world is the ability to use all available electronic information in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Autonomy and the LIT Group provide conceptual searching which automatically forms an understanding of the content of a document across all stores of structured and unstructured data, including voice, video and foreign-language information. Presentations will be given at LegalTech New York by Quentin Leckhelt of LIT Group and Jeff Cornelius, PhD, of Autonomy, both experts on the competitive advantages of breakthrough enterprise search technology for legal teams.
Autonomy's solution assists the legal team by collaboratively sharing documents and themes of investigation, incorporating researchers and review teams and in-house or outsourced legal counsel and aiding records management strategy. The world's most comprehensive and powerful suite of information analysis and event re-creation tool sets enables analysis of text and voice content and allows automatic identification, review, analysis and distribution of information. The solution automates the reassembly and analysis of electronic information to help accurately recreate digital sequences that reveal the meaning and intent of individual and corporate behaviors.
Autonomy's technology is now also taken to market under the Aungate brand, specialists in Real-Time Enterprise Governance. Leveraging the power of IDOL within electronic communications and management technology for automating regulatory compliance, litigation and risk operation, Aungate supplies solutions to the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange to name but a few.
