SUNNYVALE, Calif. - January 26, 2006 - nterwoven, Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for business, today announced that Martin W. Brauns will retire as president and chief executive officer on March 31, 2006. He will also retire from the Board. A search for a successor is being led by the Interwoven Board of Directors.
Brauns joined Interwoven as CEO in March of 1998 and oversaw the company's successful IPO, rapid growth, and multiple key acquisitions. Brauns retired briefly in the fall of 2002 and returned to the helm as CEO in April of 2003.
"I have been back now for nearly three years, and in that time, the team and I have returned the business to great shape, delivering revenue growth and seven successive quarters of non-GAAP profit," said Martin Brauns. "We have rounded out our suite of ECM solutions, made key strategic acquisitions, and built a solid and seasoned management team. The company is well-positioned for 2006 and I believe it has a bright future. I am proud to have worked with this team."
"Martin has done an outstanding job of taking a startup and building a leading enterprise software franchise during his eight years with Interwoven. The Board and I thank him for his return three years ago, and for continuing his service and excellent execution," said Frank Fanzilli, Interwoven's lead independent director. "The strong fourth quarter earnings results we announced today are a testament to the great work that Martin and his team have done."
