IDOL/K2 Integration Already Completed with Function for Function Compatibility Safeguarding Investments of Verity Installed Base
Cambridge, England - December 29, 2005 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Verity, Inc., a leading provider of business search and process management software.
Dr. Michael Lynch, group CEO of Autonomy said, "We are very pleased to announce completion of the acquisition of Verity, which will further extend Autonomy's IDOL platform as the key infrastructure for the automated management of all forms of unstructured information." On November 4, 2005, Autonomy and Verity announced that they had entered into a definitive merger agreement for Autonomy to acquire Verity for $13.50 per share.
