EI, a leading software solutions provider, today announced a new partnership with Meridio Inc., a document and records management (eDRM) software provider. Together, EI and Meridio will deliver solutions that help organizations manage risk related to compliance and information management delivered on the Microsoft platform. "With increased levels of corporate governance and compliance required by legislation such as Sarbanes Oxley (Canada's Bill 198), privacy regulations such as PIPEDA, and regulatory agencies such as the SEC, records management is at the forefront of the corporate agenda," said Lawrence Alexander, vice president, sales at EI. "Meridio eDRM is the best solution for organizations that have invested in a Microsoft infrastructure, and EI provides a practical and cost effective approach to put the solution in place."

Through this partnership, EI will leverage its significant business and technical experience in enterprise content collaboration and integration to deliver state-of-the-art compliancy solutions built on the Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office System. Meridio's flagship product, Meridio 4, brings records management capability and massive scalability to desktop networks that utilize Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003.

EI will be incorporating Meridio eDRM into both horizontal and industry-specific solutions to be marketed through EI, Microsoft, and Meridio. The core solution revolves around company -specific compliance guidelines where EI can quickly deploy workflow and records management solutions utilizing Meridio and Microsoft technologies. EI is also offering a messaging compliance framework that oversees records management regulations for creation, storage, archival, and deposition of both public and private corporate email and instant messages.

"We have identified EI as a go-to partner in Toronto to build industry-specific compliance solutions on top of Microsoft and Meridio technologies," said Patrick McGartland, vice president, business development with Meridio. "We look forward to working with Microsoft and EI to deliver these solutions to Canadian customers who wish to add value to their Microsoft investment."

"Eidenai, with its expertise in enterprise content collaboration and integration, and Meridio, with its expertise in records management, bring a collective wealth of expertise developing solutions based on the Microsoft Office System platform," said Sanjay Manchanda, group product manager of Information Worker Server Marketing at Microsoft Corp.
