Meridio ranked Fourth in the Irish Deloitte Technology Fast 50

Meridio attributes its 1456 Percent Revenue Growth to key international customer wins and its global partnership with Microsoft.

Belfast, Co Antrim, 25 November 05 — Meridio today announced that it ranked Number Four in the 2005 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Ireland, sponsored by InterTradeIreland. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years. Meridio grew 1456 percent during this period. Meridio was ranked as the fastest growing technology company in Northern Ireland.

Meridio's CEO, Brian Baird, credits key international customer wins and their partnership with Microsoft with the company's 1456 % revenue growth over the past five years. He said, "Meridio has expanded its business worldwide through working with key partners and in particular with Microsoft. Our global partnership with Microsoft has enabled us to uniquely integrate with the Microsoft Office System and together with Microsoft provide a compelling Enterprise Content Management solution to major global corporations. Working together with our partners, Meridio's business has grown to over 150 customers in 20 countries representing close to half a million licensed users of our software."

Announcing the winners of the Technology Fast 50 programme, Tom Keenan, Partner with Deloitte, Belfast said: "We are delighted to see the Technology Fast 50 go from strength to strength and tonight's finalists provide us with a great barometer to assess the state of the emerging technology sector in Ireland. Performance indicators from this year's list are very positive, representing an impressive average increase in revenue of almost 190 per cent on last year."

Eligibility criteria for the Rising Starts competition:

In business for a minimum of three years but no more than five
Entrants must be a technology company, defined as:
producing technology
manufacturing technology- related products
technologically intensive or using unique technology in problem-solving
devoting a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology
The parent company must be owned and headquartered in Ireland (subsidiaries do not qualify)
Entrants must have turnover of over euros 30,000 in 2002

The Technology Fast 50 programme was originally started in San Jose, the centre of Silicon Valley, California in 1995 and has expanded across the globe in the last six years. Both the regional Technology Fast 50 and the national Technology Fast 500 were created to recognise the outstanding contribution of fast growing technology companies to the US economy.
