Meridio Version 4.2 receives DoD 5015.2 certification for Records Management with Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003.

Meridio EDRM has been successfully tested against the US DoD 5015.2 records management standard

Long Beach CA, October 3, 2004 - Meridio Inc, a global Enterprise Document and Records Management (EDRM) company, announced today that the Department of Defense Joint interoperability Test Command (JITC) has confirmed certification for the Meridio 4.2 Electronic Records Management (ERM) solution against the DoD 5015.2-STD. Meridio is certified against both Chapter 2 (Mandatory Requirements) and Chapter 4 (Management of Classified Records). Additionally, Meridio achieved DOD 5015.2 certification as a paired solution with Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. This achievement demonstrates again that Meridio EDRM has been designed to transparently integrate with Microsoft Office System to enable organizations to leverage their Microsoft investment, ease their corporate compliance efforts across the enterprise and confirms the strength of Meridio as a leading supplier to government and other large organizations worldwide.

"Meridio 4.2 was specifically designed to meet the requirements of DoD 5015.2 which has become a de-facto standard for both government and commercial compliance officers in the U.S", said Alan Gilmore CTO, Meridio. "Both Meridio 4.2 and SharePoint Portal Server 2003 (with Meridio EDRM) are also approved against the UK The National Archives PRO 2002 ERM standard - a notable achievement as together the DOD 5015.2 and the PRO 2002 testing standards are regarded as the most important global records management standards. By committing to these very high standards defined by the US and UK electronic records managers and compliance officers, Meridio is enabling it's customers to provide EDRM based solutions with the highest global records management credentials."

Meridio EDRM has been designed on the Microsoft .NET platform, providing close integration with Microsoft Office System. Meridio enables organizations to manage their existing and future information sources seamlessly and securely. Users can access the full functionality of the Meridio records management solution via familiar Microsoft tools, maximizing adoption and thereby reducing training overheads.

"We are excited about the combined DOD 5015.2 certification achieved by SharePoint Portal Server and Meridio," said Dave Singer, Worldwide Director of Partner Management for Microsoft Corporation. "SharePoint Products and Technologies provide customers with the ability to easily create and manage their own content rich SharePoint sites, connecting users to the data they need while enabling collaboration across the enterprise. We're delighted to see development efforts from Meridio make that investment pay off."

Brian Baird, CEO Meridio said 'Over the last four years Meridio has emerged to become the driving force in the document and records management industry which, in the changing regulatory environments of government and commercial organizations, requires a mass adoption solution offering. This means that not only must EDRM products meet the very high standards defined by compliance bodies such as US JITC and UK's The National Archives but they must also address the complex and ever growing regulatory requirements faced by organizations in every sector. Consequently, a critical success factor for those organizations striving to behave in a compliant manner is ease of use with the existing user applications at the desktop. Meridio is completely focused on being the solution of choice in all these areas for organizations using the Microsoft platform."

The comprehensive JITC testing program is endorsed by other leading standards bodies throughout the world. Conformance to DoD 5015.2 is a requirement for any ERM product purchased by Department of Defense organizations.
