Lavender & Wyatt Systems Integrates Verity(R) LiquidOffice(TM) Business Process Management and TeleForm(R) Content Capture Software with Essentia(TM)

Little Rock, Ark. and Sunnyvale, Calif. - 2005-09-12 - Lavender & Wyatt Systems, Inc. (LWSI) today announced the release of a workflow solution that is fully integrated with the company's enterprise-wide resource planning (ERP) behavioral healthcare software solution, Essentia. In addition, LWSI will provide its customers with content-capture software as an add-on module to Essentia. These software solutions from Verity, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRTY) are integrated with LWSI's software systems to support more efficient and effective enterprise management.

Verity's LiquidOffice delivers a unique Business Process Management (BPM) component to LWSI's Essentia that allows organizations to significantly automate many internal processes, such as routing electronic forms and documentation to responsible parties, within a rules-governed and adaptive system. LiquidOffice works to reduce document management overhead, while integrating digital signature support, document routing and approvals, and support of document privacy and security throughout the agency. Verity TeleForm will serve as an add-on module to Essentia to allow LWSI's clients to format electronic documents for all standard agency paper documentation, thereby reducing paper document administration and management costs, and establishing a direct electronic information conduit into the appropriate Essentia database fields. In tandem, these two software solutions can create enhanced business processes that can quickly, and without staff data handling or intervention, input information to the client record from incoming faxes or paper forms, and operate by agency- defined business process rules for document routing and security.

LWSI scoured the market for products that would support the company's efforts to provide well-integrated solutions to its clients seeking a forms management solution. The solution needed to have public and private forms security, and also populate form and document data to client record fields within Essentia.

"Verity was a real standout among the other providers we surveyed in that it was the only company that provided a multi-database forms solution and a genuine BPM tool with LiquidOffice," said Don Savoie, LWSI's vice president of software development. "Verity's products were also more affordable and feature-rich in comparison to others, and so it was a natural for LWSI to choose Verity's products. Verity is a perfect fit for our business needs."

Savoie continued, "Verity products are extremely easy to deploy, and the inherent LDAP awareness makes carry-over of user profiles from the active directory a breeze. As we deploy our newest clinical tools, developed to operate on browser-based open standards, we find that Verity's software was developed along the same path, and so integration will be a far simpler procedure than with other providers. I especially appreciate the interfaces that Verity has created, and the LiquidOffice interface with workflow diagram visuals will make programming rules and processes a reality for our clients."

LWSI will deploy Verity's products to its clients as an integral part of the company's new clinical enhancement. LWSI believes that the Verity products will be real assets to clients interested in streamlining business processes and forms management within their organizations.

"Getting the necessary information into the hands of healthcare professionals can be as critical to a patient's care and well-being as any medical process," said Anthony J. Bettencourt, Verity's president and chief executive officer. "We are honored that Lavender and Wyatt has chosen Verity LiquidOffice and Verity TeleForm solutions as important components of its behavioral healthcare software solution."
