ZANTAZĀ® to Deliver Email Archiving Optimized for the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration

ZANTAZ EAS and the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) Work Together to Bring a Complete Compliance Archiving Solution to Service Providers

PLEASANTON, Calif., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- ZANTAZ, Inc., the global leader in Information Retention and Discovery Management (IRDM) solutions, today announced that it has completed optimization of ZANTAZ EAS (Enterprise Archive Solution) for the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration.

Optimization of ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange for the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration will allow service providers to offer a full-featured compliance archiving and mailbox management solution to their customers.

ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange enables organizations to create an efficient, searchable archive for the retention, management and control of email, ensuring cost-effective storage optimization and message retention for organizations of virtually any size. ZANTAZ EAS helps companies:

  • Ensure the long-term retention and instant retrieval of email and files for regulatory investigations, discovery requests and corporate governance
  • Optimize storage resources by employing enterprise-wide single instance storage
  • Reduce IT overhead and increase end-user productivity by archiving and centrally managing PST files throughout the enterprise
  • Efficiently migrate from Exchange 5.5 or alternative messaging platform to Exchange 2003

"Today's announcement is yet another milestone for ZANTAZ' strategy to deliver world-class Information Retention and Discovery Management solutions that let service providers help their customers reduce the risk and costs associated with unstructured data, like email," said Steve Reny, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development for ZANTAZ. "This agreement extends the compliance and productivity benefits of ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange to thousands of SMBs worldwide. We're delighted to be a solutions partner with Microsoft and to integrate our advanced archiving solution with their market-leading Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration for service providers."

The Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration enables service providers to roll-out an enhanced hosted messaging service that provides enterprise class messaging and collaboration features to small and medium-sized business customers. The Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration includes Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2003, Windows SharePoint Services Hosting, and Live Communications Server 2005 Hosting -- all running on the Windows Server platform. It includes tools, scripts, sample code, provisioning services, and best practices that service providers can use to efficiently deploy and deliver hosted messaging services.

The Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) is a multi-tenant platform that integrates revenue-producing, managed applications -- or hosted services -- with infrastructure components. It enables service providers to offer multiple levels of service within different communication and collaboration solutions. These infrastructure components, for which ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange is now optimized, play a key role in streamlining the management, administration, and monitoring of an organization's Microsoft Windows-based hosting environment.

"Service providers today are looking for ways to deliver new sets of enterprise-class services that offer greater value to subscribers, build customer loyalty and generate new revenue streams," said Morgan Cole, Senior Product Manager for the Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration in the Communications Sector at Microsoft Corp. "The work that ZANTAZ has done to optimize EAS for Exchange with the Microsoft solution for HMC and Hosted Exchange 2003 will provide our service provider partners with additional revenue opportunities, lower their operating costs and establish more meaningful value proposition to their customers. We are already seeing a tremendous level of interest in the capabilities of ZANTAZ EAS for Exchange."
