HEARST NEWSPAPERS' HOUSTON CHRONICLE SELECTS AUTONOMY'S IDOL WITH RETINA TO POWER ITS WEB SITE
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - August 1, 2005 - Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU.), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that the Houston Chronicle has selected Autonomy's IDOL server and Retina web interface application for retrieval, indexing and categorization on the company's newspaper internet site in order to increase Web traffic and make the site more user friendly.
The Houston Chronicle, a Hearst Newspaper, is a leading newspaper in the United States that delivers in-depth coverage of local, state, national and international news in print and through an online service, HoustonChronicle.com, that is widely regarded as one of the top newspaper Web sites, receiving over 25 million page views, on average, per month.
